I got accepted into the art school at my university, which may or may not have been more of a giveaway than something earned, but that is beside the point. The point is that when I met with the associate dean to enroll and asked about illustration options, she smirked and told me,
Oh, we don't teach illustration here. This is the FINE ARTS.
How illustrious.
While I'd like to believe that I could make a career out of the fine arts, I know realistically that I will need other venues of income.
But the real question begging to be asked here is, what are the fine arts? What qualifies and what doesn't? You tell me. :)
